Visit to the Archives Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

As part of the ongoing series of “Cultural Tuesdays” programs organized by the School of International Relations, a group of students from the school visited the Archives Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday,November 10, 2025. During this visit, the students toured various sections of the center, including the Reference Hall and the Archives Museum, where they became acquainted with the specialized processes of preserving, organizing, and retrieving historical and diplomatic documents. Mr. Kamali, the esteemed Director of the Archives Center, was also present and delivered a speech explaining the duties, structure, and operational methods of the center.
Emphasizing the center’s vital role in safeguarding the nation’s diplomatic heritage, he elaborated on how researchers, professors, and students can access and utilize the available resources. He also highlighted the
importance of documentation and historical research in the field of foreign policy. The visit was warmly received by the students and provided a valuable opportunity for them to gain insight into the historical background of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign relations and the significant role of archival institutions in the production of diplomatic knowledge.
