(the Mourning Ceremony for the Martyrdom of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (as

November 23th 2025) Student–Cultural Affairs Deputy)

On the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (as), a mourning ceremony for that noble Lady was held on Sunday, November 23th, 2025, organized by the Student–Cultural Affairs Deputy of the School of International Relations in cooperation with the esteemed Executive Deputy of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS), in the School’s prayer hall. The ceremony featured a lecture by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Dr. Mostafa Boroujerdi, respected advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and a faculty member of the School, as well as the recitation of Du‘a al-Tawassul and eulogies by the panegyrists of the Ahl al-Bayt (as). Dr. Boroujerdi, the keynote speaker, emphasized the oppression endured by the Ahl al-Bayt (as), especially Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (as).

He described her as a symbol of the dynamism and political agency of Shi‘ism in Islamic history and explained the impact of her actions on the development of the Shi‘a movement up to the present day. The ceremony was attended by the esteemed Head of the Institute for Political and International Studies, the respected Dean of the School of International Relations, deputies of the Institute for Political and International Studies, as well as a group of the School’s and IPIS staff members and students.
